British Columbia
Message from the President
I hope you all had a great summer! I would like to thank everyone who came out to our DABC convention at Bear Mountain this past June. In these changing times the success of our conventions and our association depends on your support! "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change" C. Darwin As I am sure you are all aware, the College bylaws have been re-written and the new quality assurance program has been included. This means that once it is ap-proved by the government and implemented our education program will change. By now I am sure that you all know that the quality assurance program entails completing a checklist, a quality assurance tool plus continuing education. This must be done each year and can be downloaded from the College website. Please go to the College website (www.cd.bc.ca) and make yourself familiar with the changes that will be coming. Remember your association will be helping you as much as we can at our annual convention. A reminder to join DACnet, your electronic billing system! DACnet reduces wait times for pre-determinations, rejected claims and faster payments! Go to the DACnet website ( www.dacnet.ca) and get all the information you need! I would like to welcome Esther Schwenning and Allan Boos to the DABC executive committee. Thank you to all the volunteers, our association would not exist without them! Next year our convention will be in Osoyoos at the Watermark Beach Resort, May 24 till May 27 , 2012. Make sure to book your rooms early to receive the DABC reduced rates and remember to support your association by attending all events! See you there!
